I have to admit that I'm really not much of a t.v. bug. I spend more time on my PC than I do watching the cable in the other room. I also have only one t.v. in my house. Granted there are also six PCs in my house - though I'm by far not wealthy. I'm the bargain queen bee! I got my teens a computer each almost 4 yrs ago. They were 2gigahertz computers and I got them for around $100/each. Granted, we already had monitors, keyboards and other accessories since we were upgrading from 700megahertz (and one 1gigahertz system - although it's still being used, it's running the magic jack & phone I picked up. lol) But not many in my home watch much t.v. except my 8 yr old and that's mostly PBS since I get the bare basics. Why would I bother? Well, it's so that I can get the discounts for the internet from Comcast. I really wish that I could just dump the cable. Most of the shows I had made time to watch - Unnatural History, Ghost Whisperer are no longer on, having been canceled. So I'm fairly fed up with the cable stations - especially after dumping Countdown, which I watched with my older kids. But now I watch many of my shows online. I can watch MSNBC and PBS and there are places for my son to watch the Nickelodeon, Cartoon Network, History & Science shows and lots more. So why bother with the t.v. except when we're watching movies (dvds) on family movie night? Now I've been looking for some places that offer TV on PC services. Mostly cause some folks have asked me about it. So I went searching to see what I could find. I mostly go to the channel/station website to see if they offer shows online. But these sites claim to offer satellite channels on PC. So I may look into this some more, but in the meantime if anyone wants to check them out and then let me know - that would be great. I've got a lot of catching up to do, as well as new projects to start up. So I may not get to this for a bit. But I'll leave the links below to let anyone that wants to the option of checking them out.
Cable seems to be something we don't use much, but the net; now that is something I need on a daily basis, just to keep afloat.

I might look more into this if it works like they say. I saw this image online, looks great. I may just dump my cable tv if we can watch on our shows on our pcs.
